Google reaches 10B Android app downloads

Mountain View, Ca. – Google is reporting that Android Market has exceeded 10 billion app downloads, with a growth rate to date of about one billion app downloads per month.

To accelerate the download rate, Google is working with developers for a limited period a number of apps for ten cents each, starting with Asphalt 6 HD, Color & Draw for Kids, Endomondo Sports Tracker Pro, Fieldrunners HD, Great Little War Game, Minecraft, Paper Camera, Sketchbook Mobile, Soundhound Infinity and SwiftKey X.
