Marvell’s aim is $99 smartphones Bernard Cole Barcelona, Spain - Marvell has developed a platform aimed at smartphones designed to increase integration, leading to a lower the bill of materials for mobile devices. Marvell claims it can deliver a $99 smartphone that provides instant access, live content, high performance 3D mobile gaming, rich HD media, and a wealth of applications. Based on a Pantheon development platform, the company said smartphones could potentially operate with Android, Windows Mobile, and other popular operating systems. The Pantheon platform incorporates Marvell's advanced modem technology, seamless wireless connectivity, and high-performance multimedia processing.
