Verizon adds Skype VoIP to its mobile phones Bernard Cole Barcelona, Spain – At the Mobile World Congress, Verizon Wireless will announce plans to include Skype Technologies SA’s Internet- calling software on its cell phones for long distance low cost Voice Over IP service. It will allow mobile users of this devices to make Skype calls over the company’s 3G data network. The plan is to install the software on a range of new phones, including lower-end models, as well as offering it for download to compatible existing mobile phones.
