Mobileplay offers free mobile services with Opera Mini wireless browser Toni McConnel San Francisco, Ca. –Free, ad-supported mobile content provider MobilePlay is partnering with Opera Software to distribute its content of news, games and lifestyle information via the Opera Mini 2.0 wireless browser. According to Roger Carlhammar, executive vice president of Opera Software ASA, the distribution deal between the two companies will give users of Java-enabled mobile phones convenient access to Mobileplay's mobile content offerings, including free content from BusinessWeek Online, Salon.com, The Sporting News.com, USA TODAY and Wired.com, via a Mobileplay Web portal. The partnership will provide users of Java-enabled mobile phones with Mobileplay's extensive portfolio of mobile content, including news, weather, sports, blogs, casual games, trivia, movie times and travel information, accessible through a Mobileplay Web portal via a simple download of Opera Mini 2.0 at http://mini.opera.com. A direct link to Mobileplay is embedded on the Opera Mini browser's home screen. In addition, mobile phone users who have already downloaded an earlier version of the Opera Mini 2.0 browser will also be able to access Mobileplay's content at http://mini.mobileplay.com.
