Las Vegas, Nev. -  At the Consumer Electronics Show here Spotwave Wireless introduced the Zen intelligent wireless network system that provides indoor coverage for spaces up to 2,500 square feet.

Designed for home and small offices, Spotwave CEO Bill Carlin said Zen improves indoor signal strength of cell phones, PDAs and other mobile devices across the entire PCS band (1900 MHz).

"Prosumers are becoming increasingly dependent on wireless devices in their day-to-day lives, and, as a result, are demanding more reliable access to their wireless services," he said. "Unfortunately, many find themselves having to walk outside or to a window just to use their phones. Dropped calls or missing calls altogether while indoors is even more frustrating. To add to this, as wireless

broadband services become more popular, users are discovering that it's the strength of their signal that determines the speed of their connection. With this increased dependency comes a corresponding demand for quality wireless signal indoors."

The Zen uses patented technology that prevents oscillation and harmful interference while ensuring the best signal possible for users. While "dumb" boosters can create interference that reduces user performance and can degrade network capacity, Carlin said, Zen's intelligent power management is designed to preserve and enhances the performance of PCS networks.

It emits very low power to cell phones and other wireless devices, extending the phone's battery life while it improves signal.

The Zen product will be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2006 priced at $399. To learn more, go to www.spotwave.com/zen.
