San Francisco, Ca. -- helloWorld
has launched what it claims to be the Internet's only streaming video portal,
offering streaming video email, video instant messenger, and a live web cast
product. The site is targeted for consumers and small and medium-sized business
markets.
helloWorld’s
web-based applications are designed to support multiple media formats. Using
Active-X controls, no software installation is necessary for end users.
Currently helloWorld offers three main products: helloMail, helloIM, helloLive.
The company states that helloMail is the only
email client fully integrated with streaming video. It employs a proprietary
web-based video recorder that can send or reply to text messages with full
screen video or text; create up to 3-minute video messages; store all created
videos in a video vault for as long as users desire.
It can also upload videos, such as .AVI and
MPEG files into account for encoding, storing, sending; post created videos on a
website for on-demand playback; store up to 2 Gigs of content; and add up to
four hyperlink-able graphic areas for customizing any video email message.
helloMail supports other common email features such as a calendar, notes, and
tasks.
All helloMail accounts come with an exclusive
helloWorld email address and customizable website. helloMail accounts also
include helloIM (instant messenger), a streaming video instant messenger
product. Users can talk to their chat buddies using fluid streaming video for as
long as they desire. Bandwidth permitting, users can open multiple windows.
Higher level helloMail accounts come with
helloLive, a live streaming product that allows users to webcast live to a group
online, push graphic slides, ask polling questions, and send and receive text
messages. Like helloMail, helloLive offers full screen streaming video.
All
helloWorld account holders receive their own customizable helloWorld website,
complete with music videos, news, sports and more.
