IOGEAR ships USB 2.0, FireWire MiniHub Combo

Irvine, CA - Aiming at small businesses and home offices, IOGEAR Inc. has launched a MiniHub that combines the two highest speed standards enabling consumers to quickly download, transfer and share files at rates up to 480 Mbps.

The MiniHub includes two FireWire ports and four Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connections. Data transfer rate is up to 480 Mbps for USB 2.0 and up to 400 Mbps for FireWire. Priced at $89.95 (MSRP), the hub is now available from all major catalog resellers, online resellers and selected retail outlets.

Priced at Priced at $89.95, the MiniHub is fully compliant with USB 2.0 / IEEE 1394a specifications and supports Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, XP, Mac OS 8.6 to 9.2 (USB 1.1 support only) and OS X 0.3 or greater (USB 2.0 support). A 6V power supply, and USB 2.0 and FireWire cables are included in the complete kit. The device is also backward compatible with USB 1.1 specifications.
