Kirkland, Wa. -- Consystant Software Inc.'s StrataNP Design Suite (Version 3.1) is a software development platform for data plane applications that run on the Intel IXP2400 and IXP2800 network processors.

StrataNP integrates a graphical design environment with a library of templates; example designs and reusable software components; design mapping, analysis and, debugging capabilities; and integration with Intel's SDK toolkit. Developers use a graphical visualization tool within the environment to combine Intel, third party, and proprietary software components.

The design platform is compliant with the Intel IXA Portability Framework, a modular programming architecture design to facilitate code reuse and portability in network processor-based projects.

Developers can use StrataNP to map components to any combination of context and functional pipelines.

The platform includes a system analyzer that creates a visual representation of packet flow and traces packets throughout the application. Other features of the system analyzer include visualization of initialization events, state of the software, and the display of performance information such as code size and packet rate.

StrataNP is available now.
