Samsung Intros ARM-based iappliance CPUs

San Jose, Ca. -- Samsung Semiconductor, Inc., has a new line of ARM-based Application Processors, specifically designed to support Windows CE.NET version 4.1 on a variety of small footprint iappliances such as PDAs and smartphones.

To support the feature rich CE.NET 4.1 Samsung has had to add a 2D graphics accelerator, camera interface, image scalar and a color space converter to its Application Processors to support the next-generation Internet Protocol in Windows Powered wireless mobile devices.
