PocketCAD PRO Opens Design to Ranger Handhelds

For CAD users, mobility while they work is now a possibility. Arc Second and At Work Computers have released PocketCAD PRO 4.0 for the Ranger Series ruggedized handheld computers. This combination extends the capability for creating, viewing, and editing design drawings in harsh outdoor and industrial environments.

"With PocketCAD on the Ranger, users can have fully functional CAD even in the most extreme conditions," said Arc Second's president, Edward Barrientos. "It has been our mission to extend CAD capabilities from the desktop into the field or onto the manufacturing floor. PocketCAD on the Ranger helps us meet that goal."

The Ranger 200C from At Work Computers is a rugged handheld device featuring a high performance reflective color TFT display technology, making it compatible with Arc Second's comprehensive mobile CAD application. PocketCAD Pro, which reads DWG, DXF, and DGN files, is fully functional CAD software for Windows-powered mobile devices, like the Ranger Series.

PocketCAD is available through a network of dealers, or it can be downloaded from their Website. The Ranger series handheld computers are sold through OEMs and VARs worldwide.
