Precise Software Now Supports ARCTangent

Precise Software Technologies' Precise Solution development system now provides integrated support for the ARCTangent configurable microprocessor from ARC Cores. This new release of the Precise/MQX real-time operating system (RTOS) and the Precise/RTCS full-featured TCP/IP stack running on the ARCTangent microprocessor is fully integrated with the MetaWare High C/C++ compiler toolchain and the SeeCode debugger and is shipped with an enhanced development environment. The Precise Solution development system is the royalty-free alternative for advanced real-time embedded applications.

“Using High C/C++ and SeeCode with Precise Solution provides developers of ARCTangent-based designs peace of mind that they are developing their high-performance applications on an embedded software foundation that's easy to use and fully able to exploit the customizable ARCTangent architecture,” said Craig Montgomery, Director of Sales at Precise.

The Precise/MQX RTOS comes with a family of host-based development tools for the design, code generation, editing, analysis, and task-aware debugging of embedded applications. Also included in the Solution Tools package is a range of synchronous and asynchronous I/O drivers already integrated, including Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, PCI, flash memory, HDLC, PC Card, PC Card flash memory, nonvolatile RAM, disk controllers, and serial devices.

Precise will also continue to support a broad range of other processor families with its Solution Host Tools.

Pricing for a single-project development and production license of Precise/MQX running on the ARCTangent microprocessor starts at $12,500.00 US, and is delivered with a board support package (BSP) and value-added host-based development tools. Pricing for the Precise/RTCS full-featured TCP/IP stack starts at $17,500.00 US. All Precise products come with 90 days of technical support and maintenance services.
