WatchGuard Offers More Protection

WatchGuard Technologies, Inc., has added the Firebox III Model 700, offering firewall, Virtual Private Network (VPN) protection, and remote centralized management for small businesses and branch offices, to its Firebox III family.

The Firebox 700 supports up to 250 simultaneous authenticated users and up to 150 simultaneous connected branch office or mobile user VPNs, while delivering dynamic packet filtering throughput of over 130 mbps.

As with the rest of the Firebox appliances, the Model 700 offers ICSA Firewall and IPSec VPN certification. It runs on a 233mhz processor and includes 64MB RAM. The Model 700 has a 64-bit bus architecture and a 131 Mbps firewall throughput in dynamic packet filter mode.

The Firebox 700 includes the Firebox appliance, management software, and a one-year subscription to the LiveSecurity Service. Suggested list price of the Firebox 700 in the U.S. is $2,490. The Firebox 700 is available now through certified WatchGuard resellers.
